WEST. will end its activities as a group on September 30, 2026, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT announced on September 24.
The decision follows the August 30 announcement that Ryusei Fujii and Nozomu Kotaki would leave the group. The remaining five members — Daiki Shigeoka, Akito Kiriyama, Junta Nakama, Tomohiro Kamiyama and Takahiro Hamada — discussed continuing WEST. as a five-piece with the agency, but ultimately decided to bring the group's activities to an end.
All seven members will remain with STARTO ENTERTAINMENT and continue their individual careers from October 1.
WEST. debuted in 2014. Rather than replacing the two departing members or carrying the name forward with a reduced lineup, the September 30 decision closes that chapter of the group after twelve years.
