For forty-five years, only two pieces of THE STALIN’s November 7, 1981 concert at Kyoto’s Taku Taku had been officially heard. They appeared on trash, the band’s first original album, released later that year. The rest of the performance remained undocumented on record.

That gap is about to close.

A recovered multitrack tape has made it possible to reconstruct the entire concert. Newly mixed from those tapes, 1981.11.7 trash LIVE will be released on December 24, 2026 through Hokkyoku Bacteria, as part of the 45th anniversary of trash.

ザ・スターリン (THE STALIN) played 17 songs that night, including 「メシ喰わせろ!」 (Bokusatsu). The original trash preserved only 「豚に真珠」 (Buta ni Shinju) and “GASS” from the Kyoto recording; its other live material came from the band’s October 31 performance at Hosei University in Tokyo.

The new release therefore does something a conventional reissue cannot. It restores the sequence around recordings that have circulated for decades as fragments of another album, returning them to the concert where they were actually performed.

1981.11.7 trash LIVE contains the complete 17-song performance, newly mixed from the rediscovered multitrack tapes. It will be released on CD on December 24.
