Naomi Tamura (田村直美)’s “Yuzurenai Negai” (ゆずれない願い), first released as a single on November 9, 1994, has found a new place in the world of Magic Knight Rayearth.
The song, familiar to a generation as the opening theme of the original 1994 television adaptation, was heard as an insert song in the first episode of the new Magic Knight Rayearth TV anime broadcast in Japan on October 7, 2026. Its return bridges the original adaptation and the new series without requiring a new recording.
The original track has also received its first official digital distribution, beginning October 8, 2026. That is a new format availability, not the song’s first release: the single dates back to 1994.
