Midnight Grand Orchestra is bringing its first audience-attended concert back in an unusual form: the accompanying band will play live, while Hoshimachi Suisei’s vocals and performance will come from the original 2024 show.

For RE:IGNITION Series, the stage and LED set of Midnight Mission will be reconstructed from the original plans. Suisei’s singing and performance from February 20, 2024, will be reproduced using data captured that night. The musicians will perform anew around that preserved performance. This is a recreation, rather than a new live vocal performance.

Formed in 2022 by virtual singer Hoshimachi Suisei (星街すいせい) and producer TAKU INOUE (井上拓), Midnight Grand Orchestra connects her voice with his electronic productions. After Overture and Starpeggio, Midnight Mission marked the project's first concert before an audience.

The format raises an intriguing musical question: how different can a concert feel when the voice remains fixed, but the band plays in the present? The official concert information makes the arrangement explicit.
