Ichiko Aoba (青葉市子) performed at the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall on October 5, accompanied by Taro Umebayashi and a seven-member ensemble. The sold-out concert drew approximately 2,500 listeners, according to a Japanese concert report.

Piano, synthesizer and strings joined Aoba’s voice and guitar across the programme. The ensemble performed “Shiranui”, her theme for the animated short film Shiranui, in a seven-person arrangement for the first time. The Sydney show was one of three Australian concerts completing her Across the Oceans Tour; the Sydney Opera House programme confirms the concert’s date and venue.
