Daoko (だをこ) moves between live action and hand-drawn animation in the new video for “SYNC”. Directed by the artist credited as 雑草Movie, the film surrounds her with painted stars, light and shifting shades of blue. Its analogue-looking textures are a distinctive choice for a theme from an action anime.
Released digitally on October 5, SYNC is the ending theme for TANK CHAIR (『TANK CHAIR-戦車椅子-』). The official announcement connects the song to the bond between the story’s siblings; the video gives that intimate idea a visual form.
