ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION (アジアン・カンフー・ジェネレーション) will release the self-titled studio album ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION on January 27, 2027, roughly five years after their previous original album. The Sony Music announcement confirms “Skins”, “Life Is Beautiful”, “MAKUAKE” and “Times” among its songs, with additional recordings made at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Formed in 1996, the four-piece helped establish a lasting guitar-led voice in Japanese J-Rock, including songs familiar to anime audiences. Issued during their 30th-anniversary period, their first namesake album is a marker of continuity. A CD-only Regular Edition and a CD/Blu-ray First Press Limited Edition are confirmed; the complete tracklist remains unpublished.
